BOULDERING BASICS course
Bouldering Basics 4 week Technique course, the next one starts on August 6:
This course covers everything you need to know when it comes to beginner technique and allows you time to practise and build on what you’ve learnt as the weeks progress. All 4 sessions are 1.5 hours and include a warm up and cool down to finish.
Week 1: Balance & Body position
Week 2: Footwork
Week 3: Route Reading & Tactics
Week 4: Efficiency & Steep climbing

Make the most of a coaching session
Coaching can help give you a plan of attack to deal with fear of falling, fear of injury, fear/excitement of succeeding on the boulder, and the fear of failure.
Coaching can also help you learn about your body and improve body awareness, increase concentration and focus on your bouldering.
- Identify your goal(s) and/or area of focus. The most important thing is to be clear about your focus, so that you can set goals to work toward with your coach.
- Be open to new ideas and ask questions.
- Be prepared to be challenged.
- Expect change
